Scene Shuffle Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Scene Shuffle (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our Scene Shuffle app (the “App”) and through SceneShuffle.com (the “Website”), how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the App or Website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described herein.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
Email Subscription Data: If you choose to sign up for an email list, we collect your email address.
Registration Data: If you choose to create an account in the App, we collect your email address and a hashed password (or OAuth token).
Profile Data: Optional information such as your name or avatar image.
2.2. User Content
Scene Data: All text, images, or other media you create and store in the App. You retain ownership and all rights to this content.
Project Metadata: Titles, timestamps, ordering of scenes, and other organizational details.
2.3. Payment Information
Purchase Records: When you buy a Pro Membership ($5.99 one-time fee), we record transaction details (date, amount, payment processor reference).
Payment Processor Data: We do not collect or store your full payment card or bank information; payments are handled securely by a third-party payment processor.
2.4. Usage and Device Data
App Usage: Features accessed, number of scenes/projects created, session lengths, crash reports, and performance metrics.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and IP address.
Analytics Cookies/SDKs: We may use anonymized cookies or SDKs to understand and improve App performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
Provide & Maintain the App: Authenticate users, store and retrieve your scenes and projects.
Billing & Support: Process payments, handle refunds, and respond to your inquiries.
Improvements & Analytics: Analyze usage patterns to optimize features, fix bugs, and improve performance.
Communications: Send you transactional emails (e.g., purchase receipts, password resets) and marketing or feature-update newsletters. You may opt out of marketing or feature-update emails at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of an email from us, or by contacting us directly through the Feedback module in the app settings.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We will never sell your personal data or User Content. We only share data in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: With trusted third parties (e.g., payment processors, analytics providers, hosting services) who perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to keep your data confidential.
Legal Requirements: If required by law or to respond to valid legal processes (e.g., subpoenas, court orders).
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred—but only under terms no less protective than this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information, User Content, and transaction records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App.
You can request deletion of your account and content at any time (see Section 7). After deletion, we will remove your data from active systems and, where feasible, from backups within a reasonable period.
6. Security Measures
Encryption: Data in transit is protected via TLS.
Access Controls: We use authentication and role-based permissions to limit internal access.
Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security assessments and maintain industry-standard safeguards.
However, no system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security, so please take precautions (e.g., strong, unique passwords).
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access & Correction: View, download, or update your personal data.
Deletion: Delete your account and personal data.
Data Portability: Request an export of your personal data in a machine-readable format.
Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in our emails.

8. Children’s Privacy
Scene Shuffle is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently done so, we will promptly delete that information.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Wherever it is processed, we ensure that adequate protections are in place (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
